Benefits of ILLiad
|

Library uses an online system, ILLiad, to manage all your requests to get articles and books.
|
|
Get articles delivered to you from journals available from the Library or outside libraries.
|
|
Get book chapters, reports, and theses.
|
|
Borrow books, reports, and other materials from outside libraries.
|
|
Exception: Do not use ILLiad to request books available from OhioLINK libraries. Request these directly through the OhioLINK Library Catalog.

Who can Register for ILLiad?
|
|
Main Campus and Family Health Center employees (white badges and employee IDs = numbers)
|
|
Temporary employees and volunteers are NOT eligible to use ILLiad.
|

How do I Register?
|
|
Complete our online registration form.
|
|
Must have a Library Account BEFORE you can register for ILLiad.
|

Options for Submitting a Request
|

For journal articles: Click Get Article icon in a database search. Click Request this item through ILLiad on the next screen. Enter your ILLiad login/password. Request form automatically completed! Just click Submit and close the ILLiad and Full Text Finder Results pages to get back to your search.

For journal articles, books, and other material types: Login to ILLiad. Select type of request from menu on the left. Type your information in the form. Click Submit.

How Quickly will my Request Arrive?
|
|
Most journal articles arrive within 3-4 days of placing the request, although some requests take longer.
|
|
Books are unpredictable. Depends on how quickly the lending library sends it to us.
|
|
For RUSH journal articles: submit the request via ILLiad AND call the Library at 216-444-5697 with the TN (Transaction Number) of the rush. We will do our best to get this article to you as quickly as possible.

How do I Know when my Article/Book has Arrived?
|
|
ILLiad sends an email when materials arrive.
|
|
For articles, login to ILLiad and click the View link next to the PDF icon to bring up your article.
|
|
For books and other material not delivered electronically, come to the Library to pick up these items.
|
|
System automatically deletes PDFs after 30 days.
|
|
Best practice: Be sure to print or download your PDF as soon as you receive it.
|

|
How do I See Requests I Haven't Received Yet?
|
|
Login to ILLiad and click Outstanding Requests on the left menu.
|
|
|
|
How do I See a History of Everything I have Requested?
|
|
Login to ILLiad and click View All on the left menu.
