CT Review

Dedicate a day to review CT principles and procedures. Whether you are preparing for the national registry exam or need to brush up on the basics, this course is for you!

EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the CT Review course, the participant will:

• Understand the importance of patient screening and the significance of the obtained information.

• Define the different contrast agents used in CT and when each one is indicated.

• Recognize the various components of the CT scanner and the function of each component.

• Describe how the CT image is reconstructed and displayed.

• Understand the importance of various post-processing techniques.

• Define image quality as it applies to CT. 

• Distinguish image artifacts in CT.

• Be aware of special procedures and advanced imaging applications used in CT. 

• Identify fundamental cross sectional anatomy as seen on CT images.

REQUIREMENTS:

Participants are expected to have experience in CT principles and procedures.
