2024 Orientation
Before working/training at Cleveland Clinic, all clinical trainees and research fellows must first process-in with the Graduate Medical Education Department.
Note: Until you have had your institutional/GME orientation, you cannot attend department orientation, lectures or meetings, or perform any training responsibilities at Cleveland Clinic.
Orientation - clinical trainees (start date of July 1)
July 1 start date (your orientation has been pre-scheduled):
- PGY 1 residents: Orientation - Monday, June 17, InterContinental Hotel Cleveland
- PGY 2 and above (upper level residents/fellows): Orientation - Monday, July 1, InterContinental Hotel Cleveland
You are required to attend this session and need to reserve the entire day.
Orientation - surgical fellows (start date of Aug. 1)
Aug. 1 start date (your orientation has been pre-scheduled):
- Surgical fellows: Orientation - Wednesday, July 31, InterContinental Hotel Cleveland
You are required to attend this session and need to reserve the entire day.
Orientation - clinical trainees (start date other than July 1)
To schedule your orientation, contact the GME office at 216.444.5690 or email GMEonboarding@ccf.org. (Orientation is NOT prescheduled for you.) Orientation is conducted on Wednesdays by appointment only, beginning promptly at 8:30 a.m.
Please report to the GME Department, which is located on the second floor of the JJ South Building (JJS2). Please reserve the entire day.

Directions and parking
- For orientation, please park in Visitor Parking Garage #1, which is located on East 93rd Street between Chester and Euclid avenues, or in Visitor Parking Garage #2, which is located on East 100th Street between Cedar and Carnegie avenues.
- The GME Office is located on the second floor of the JJ South Building (JJS2).
- Cleveland Clinic’s Parking Department can validate your parking ticket for you.
